Sellers on Shopee Malaysia can now opt to ship their goods via DHL

This means that sellers on Shopee Malaysia can now opt to ship their goods via DHL and have it delivered to their buyers next-day to most locations across Malaysia, and two to three days in other remote locations. Sellers on Shopee can also access DHL ServicePoints conveniently located across Malaysia to drop-off their parcels and have them delivered to their shoppers. Alternatively, sellers with large quantities of parcels can also arrange for a pickup by DHL for door-to-door delivery service from their location to their buyers.

“Delivery plays a big role in the entire e-commerce experience — 80% of consumers consider delivery as part of their online shopping experience and 70% would not shop with a retailer after a bad delivery experience. We are thrilled to be partnering with Shopee in Malaysia to offer an easy and seamless delivery experience. With our aim to become the e-commerce logistics of choice, we are making it as easy as possible for sellers to deliver, and for shoppers to receive their purchases,” said Kiattichai Pitpreecha, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, DHL eCommerce.

“The e-commerce industry cannot exist without a strong and efficient logistics system as it is a crucial part of the entire online shopping process. As a platform with over 10 million users and a rapidly growing user base, it is essential for us to continuously evolve to meet users’ changing demands. Therefore, this partnership is set to strengthen our value proposition and we are confident that our users will benefit from the suite of services and features offered by DHL eCommerce. Together with DHL eCommerce, we will continue to explore synergies between the two companies to better serve our users,” said Esten Mok, Head of Operations, Shopee.

Leveraging DPDHL Group’s strong and proven expertise in logistics, DHL eCommerce will provide best-in-class domestic delivery with reliable delivery including specialized solutions for the e-commerce industry. As DHL eCommerce is planning to grow its ServicePoint footprint in Malaysia to over a thousand in the coming months, this will offer greater choice, control and convenience in e-commerce delivery.

Vysia Yong Vee Ysia, Head of Digital & Ecommerce — CPD, L’Oreal Malaysia who was present at the launch ceremony commented, “As a leading fast moving consumer goods brand, we have seen how Malaysia’s e-commerce scene has evolved tremendously over the past years, and with an increased number of consumers turning to online platforms such as Shopee to fulfill their shopping needs. We understand that consumer needs and preferences are very different when shopping online, with a greater emphasis on variety of choice, speed and convenience. Hence, the integration of DHL eCommerce with Shopee will definitely help us serve our customers better as we continuously strive towards a highly digital era.”
