Byungkoo Han appointed at DHL Express Korea

DHL Express has appointed ByungKoo Han as the new Country Manager of DHL Express Korea. Han takes over the helm as former country manager, Chris Callen, transitions into a new role as the Head of Human Resources for Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) based in Singapore.

He joined DHL Express Korea in March 2008 as CFO. In his time with DHL, he has helped consolidate the company’s leading position in the market by successfully introducing new financial measures and processes.

John Pearson, CEO, DHL Express, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa said, “ByungKoo’s financial stewardship through the economic downturn and his extensive international experience leaves me no doubt that our business in Korea will continue its strong performance. With a highly committed team in Korea, and an established market-leading position, I am confident he’ll lead our business to greater growth.”

Han said of his appointment, “I am very pleased to be appointed as DHL Express Korea’s new Country Manager and look forward to the new challenges this new role will bring. Maintaining our market leadership, a position DHL Express Korea has held since 1997, will be a key priority.”
