Francotyp-Postalia offers hybrid mail solution in Austria

Francotyp-Postalia has expanded its portfolio of hybrid mail solutions into Austria. The Group’s Austrian subsidiary, Francotyp-Postalia Austria, will launch ‘FP webpost’ in a bid to become “the pioneering force behind the use of hybrid mail” in the European country.

Customers are now able to register an account at www.webpost.com/austria, in order to use the service. The company has made the solution available to both business customers, with multiple mailings, and private individuals, for single letters.

“With this new service, we are continuing to expand our market position by offering modern, forward-looking solutions,” explained Anton Kosar, managing director of Francotyp-Postalia in Austria.

By using a hybrid mail solution, customers can send their letters as an electronic file, before they are printed out and enveloped at a location close to their intended destination. The mail is then given over for traditional final-mile delivery.

“This offers significant advantages: Conventional letters still command a high-level of attention among recipients even in the age of increasing digital communication and therefore remain an attractive communication medium for many senders. At the same time, the sender not only saves time and money, but helps conserve the environment as well,” a statement said.

An initial ‘FP webpost’ service was launched in Germany, before its success led to a roll-out of the solution in the UK and Belgium last year.
