New MD for IBC Bermuda Ltd

IBC Bermuda Ltd. has promoted Kevin Smith to Managing Director.

Mr. Smith joined IBC 20 years ago, in 1999, as Manager of IBC/ZipX UPS at L.F. Wade International Airport. He went on to become VP Airport Operations in 2005 working with operating staff, Customs and physical importation and exportation. In 2016 Mr. Smith was promoted to VP Operations, managing all IBC operating staff and local courier and messenger departments.

Mr. Smith said: “I am delighted and grateful for this new role as Managing Director of IBC Bermuda Ltd. These are exciting times. In 2019 we will continue to innovate and provide Bermuda with the best air express experience possible. With the continued support and success of our team, I look forward to all the excitement and challenges that lie ahead.”

Joe Costigan, CEO of IBC USA, said: “Kevin’s dedication to the company, his fellow co-workers, customers and Bermuda is unwavering. We look forward to seeing Kevin’s success at IBC continue in his new role as Managing Director.”

Glen Smith, Chairman and Founder of IBC/ZipX, also commented on the announcement: “I want to congratulate Kevin on his new appointment. Kevin has gone from strength to strength at IBC and I have every confidence that he will use his many years of experience and deep understanding of the business to continue to improve it from all angles for the benefit of both our customers and the team.”
