The Mailing Industry CEO Council adds three new members
The Mailing Industry CEO Council is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to unifying the $900 billion mailing industry and promoting the critical role that mail plays in business and commerce.
“These executives bring a wide range of skills and business perspectives to this unique cross-section of industry leaders representing companies that have a major stake in the future of the mail channel,” said Council Chairman and Pitney Bowes Chairman and CEO Michael J. Critelli. “Their experience and knowledge will help us with the job ahead. Action is critical to raise awareness of the serious challenges facing our postal system and the need for reform. We will work to establish public policies and industry standards that will foster industry growth.”
This is a turning point for the mailing industry. Following the recent report of the President’s Commission on the United States Postal Service, Congress is currently holding hearings on postal reform that can affect the industry for years to come
“The scope and economic importance of the mailing industry is often overlooked and its future misunderstood,” said Mr. Critelli. “The mail is a vital channel for business and commerce, generating approximately $900 billion and employing more than 9 million people and representing more than 8% of our gross national product. Our mission is to unify the industry, promote the value of mail, and to collectively lobby for public policies that will enable this industry to continue to thrive.”
