Courier firm branches out into home delivery

Momentum is said to be gathering behind a home delivery venture by A to Z Couriers, a member of the Rentokil Initial group. The company has set up the operation at its Islington branch in north London, and is already handling product deliveries in the area for catalogue retailers such as Grattan, Littlewoods and Next.

According to home delivery manager Ian Larke, the operation has been structured to make use of the company’s existing delivery fleet outside peak business hours. “As buyers move away from the high street to home shopping, we can only see this sort of business growing,” he says. “I believe we have put ourselves in a strong position to be part of this trade in future.”

Express carrier Initial City Link is a sister-company in the group.
