German Trans-o-flex reports profit leap following restructuring

Trans-o-flex, the German specialist in the forwarding of valuable and urgent medical and pharmaceutical consignments, last year saw turnover up by 4.5 per cent at 396m euros. Post-tax profit was trebled to 16.5m euros.

The company, in which German postal service operator Deutsche Post holds a 24.8 per cent stake, has undergone restructuring, this being seen as the main reason for the improvements shown last year. Branches responsible for the delivery of consignments were transformed into independent subsidiaries.
