AE Parker joins Pall-Ex network

Pall-Ex (UK) has attracted AE Parker to its growing network of hauliers. The Chichester-based company will cover the Fareham, Havant, Chichester and Bognor area.

This announcement comes just one week after the announcement of a new Pall-Ex member depot for the Medway region of Kent and following a major new contract for Pall-Ex to become a nominated carrier for ASDA.

With 53,000 sq.ft of racked warehousing and refrigerated transport, AE Parker was particularly interested in the clean and hygienic environment provided by Pall-Ex’s purpose-built hub, which keeps lorries on the outside of the building and operates its fork-lift trucks exclusively on compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel.

Managing director John Parker, said: “Health and safety are a priority for us and we like the emphasis Pall-Ex places on providing a clean, well-managed environment for our goods.”

Hilary Devey, managing director of Pall-Ex, said: “More and more companies are coming to us because of these environmental considerations. Operating the cleanest hub in the sector is an important factor for our members in selling into specific product markets.”
