Emirates Post expands postal network to 76 post offices

The Beach Post Office, located within The Village Shopping Centre, Jumeirah Road, is the second post office in the Jumeirah area. There is already an existing post office on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah, which offers a portfolio of postal and non-postal services.

The full-fledged post-offices offer the entire range of postal services, including mail, registered mail, parcels, money orders as well as non-postal services such as DEWA/SEWA bill payment, Etisalat telephone cards, Dubai Municipality parking cards and Ministry of Labour services.

‘The new post office at Jumeirah was opened after we realized that the Jumeirah area needed a second post office to serve the growing population, based on our demographic studies,’ said Salem Al Shaya, Assistant Director General, Zones and Operations, Emirates Post. ‘Significantly, this post office will follow different and extended working hours to match with the timings of the shopping centre, for the convenience of shoppers and residents.’

‘The new post offices are in line with Emirates Post’s strategy of developing architecturally elegant and visitor-friendly post-offices in order to create a pleasing ambience for customers,’ added Mr. Al Shaya. ‘At the same time, this reflects our drive to expand our post office network. We have now increased our network to 76 post offices, covering both the urban and far-flung rural areas of the UAE. This is a tremendous growth from just 55 post offices in 1990.’
