TNT Network Logistics wins new HarperCollins contract
HarperCollins has renewed its distribution contract with TNT Network Logistics until the end of 2008.
The two companies have been working together since July 2001 when TNT Network Logistics took over the outbound distribution of palletised loads from the HarperCollins warehouse near Glasgow. The second phase included collecting inbound books from the printers in the UK and direct deliveries to HarperCollins’ customers in the UK.
Over the last few years, HarperCollins has substantially developed its service offering by including supply chain services to other publishers. Recently it was named Distributor of the Year by Waterstone’s, one of the UK’s biggest book retailers.
Andrew Love, Supply Chain Director, was delighted with the award: “We are thrilled to bits with this vote of confidence from one of our key customers. It demonstrates the strength of our team across many areas of the business… not forgetting TNT which services many Waterstone’s branches across the UK.”
TNT Network Logistics has specialist expertise in the printing and publishing industries, using its high quality, multi-user network to distribute to retailers and wholesalers nationwide.
David Bermingham, Managing Director, says: “We have worked closely with HarperCollins to develop a highly flexible service, offering real-time visibility throughout the supply chain and we are delighted to have the contract renewed.”
