DHL forms association with Mexican Bancomext

Jorge Ehnrenwald, director of Marketing at DHL, said that the mail company has formed an association with the National Foreign Trade Bank (Bancomext) in order to provide integral logistics solutions for small and medium-sized companies.

The executive said that the association was part of a project that DHL and Bancomext have been working on since 2002. He also mentioned that when a small company approaches Bancomext for advice on transport of goods, it will be directed towards DHL who will try to come up with solutions.

“For one of these businesspeople, it is difficult to take responsibility for transport, customs, unloading etc. and that is where DHL will offer integral logistics solutions,” stated Ehnrenwald. He warned that when a contract with a company is agreed, “this is signed separately, that is, the services have a separate cost, but whoever is channeled to us by Bancomext will get preferential treatment and the discounts will be 13-15percent on imports or exports.” The services will include transport both within Mexico and abroad.
