TietoEnator signs outsourcing agreement with Finland Post

Finnish-Swedish IT company TietoEnator Corporation said on Tuesday (5 October) that it had agreed with Finland Post Corporation (Suomen Posti Oyj) to build a Datacenter, a new central server environment that would house all the Post’s business-critical IT system environments.

The aim of the project is to improve cost-efficiency and control in the Post’s IT services, TietoEnator said.

Under the outsourcing agreement TietoEnator Group would take on nine employees from Finland Post’s subsidiary IT Optimo on the date of signing.

The servers, currently operated by several service providers, would be moved to TietoEnator immediately the project starts.

TietoEnator said that it had also signed a three-year operations services purchase agreement with Finland Post covering the services now to be provided by the Datacenter.
