DPD in Lithuania and Poland

GeoPost acquired the Lithuanian high-capacity CEP service provider Baltic Logistic System on 1 September. The latter operates under the DPD/Bizpak brand. The partnership will assume a concrete form this month with the opening of a DPD distribution centre equipped with cutting edge technology in Vilnius. The facility – the first semi-automatic depot in the Baltic states – enables DPD and GeoPost to significantly raise efficiency, service quality in parcel handling and distribution.
In Polcand the rapidly expanding GeoPost subsidiary Masterlink Express has inaugurated its new main distribution centre in Lucmierz. The platoform is located in the centre of the country and mainland Europe close to one of the most important transit corridors of the future north-south and east-west motorway routes.
Around 90 people are employed in Lucmierz, more than doulbe the number of GeoPosts staff in this region of Poland. Masterlink is plannig to make additional investments in storage capacity and IT in the coming year.
