Palletforce offers next day service to the Isle of Wight
EV Cargo company Palletforce is the first pallet network to offer a next day service to the Isle of Wight, as Steve Porter Transport joins the expanding network.

Averaging over one new member every month during 2019, the addition of the Hampshire-based operator to its growing network has reinforced Palletforce’s coverage in the south of England.

Steve Porter Transport provides express transport services to businesses in central southern England and the Isle of Wight from depots in Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. It will cover selected PO postcodes, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands for the Palletforce network.

The company is also the Isle of Wight’s largest independent freight carrier, having acquired ferry operator Red Funnel’s distribution division in 2011. It offers a bespoke cross-Solent drop-trailer operation from Southampton to East Cowes, ensuring customers are given priority in terms of service and providing Palletforce members with a competitive advantage.

Michael Conroy, Palletforce chief executive, said: “Our strategy is firmly focused on developing growth opportunities and the highest levels of quality service for our members and their customers. The addition of Steve Porter Transport is a huge asset and provides our members with yet another market advantage and marks a year where we’ve added more members than ever before to ensure Palletforce remains the market-leader.”

“As part of EV Cargo, Palletforce offers members long-term stability, enabling further growth with the support of the best technology, infrastructure and range of delivery services in the sector.”

Malcolm Gibson, Steve Porter Transport managing director, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Palletforce network which is so proactive in terms of investment, technology and support for its members. We look forward to growing our existing business by taking advantage of the opportunities Palletforce provides.”
