Palletline network expands again

Palletised distribution specialists Palletline Plc continue to expand their nationwide network with the recruitment of Cheshire-based G A Newsome (Haulage) Ltd to provide high quality distribution services for parts of the Crewe area. The addition of G A Newsome to the network brings Palletline’s total number of depots close to 60.

Established since 1984, G A Newsome (Haulage) currently offers a full range of services, from general road haulage and low loaders through to dangerous goods transportation and warehousing. The company has quality accreditation to ISO 9001:2000, and operates a dedicated commercial facility for the repair and servicing of trailer units.

The HGV fleet consists of both rigid and articulated vehicles covering the 17 tonne to 44 tonne range, with a trailer fleet including low-loaders, skeletals, flatbeds, curtainsiders and box vans.

G A Newsome (Haulage) moved into a new, purpose-built three acre site in Wardle near Nantwich early in 2004, which has facilitated further expansion into warehousing services.

Commenting on the company’s decision to join the Palletline network, Managing Director Geoff Newsome underlined the essential flexibility of the palletised distribution system. “Growth within our organisation has prompted us to diversify, and Palletline membership will encourage this sustained growth, providing an excellent match with our own facilities and enabling us to offer an expanded range of services to customers whilst maintaining control over quality and performance.”
