Spanish Azkar Vice Chairman Raises Stake in Company to 5.2 Pct
Jose Antonio Orozco, vice chairman of Spanish transport and distribution company Transportes Azkar SA, has raised his stake in the company to 5.175 pct, the company reported to the Spanish stock market regulator CNMV on September 6, 2004.
The daughters of the chairman Luis Fernandez Somoza reduced their stake to 2.57 pct from 4.0 pct. [Editor’s note: Somoza holds 53.3 pct in Azkar. Other leading shareholders include Spanish banks Caixa Galicia and Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa (BBK) which have a 5.0 pct stake each.]
Azkar posted a net profit of 8.9 mln euro ($10.7 mln) for the first half of 2004, down 10.5 pct year-on-year due to lower extraordinary revenue. The turnover of the company for the same period stood at 150 mln euro ($180.9 mln), up 12.9 pct.

Jose Antonio Orozco, vice chairman of Spanish transport and distribution company Transportes Azkar, has raised his stake in the company to 2.6 pct, sources from the Spanish stock market said on May 31, 2004.
Orozco bought 64,200 shares in Azkar (www.azkar.es), equal to 0.13 pct of the capital, estimated at 372,000 euro ($454,200) at current market prices.
At present, the chairman of Azkar, Luis Fernandez Somoza, holds 53.3 pct. Spanish banks Caixa Galicia and Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa (BBK) have a 5.0 pct stake each. Transportes Azkar deputy chairman buys 68,890 shares

MADRID (AFX) – Transportes Azkar SA deputy chairman Jose Antonio Orozco has bought 68,890 shares, or 0.567 pct of the transport company, for about 400,000 eur, raising his stake to 0.614 pct, according to a filing with stock market regulator CNMV.
Azkar’s largest shareholder is chairman Luis Fernandez Somoza with a 53.3 pct stake.
