Spanish Seur To Invest 20 Mln Euro in Portugal 2003

Spanish distribution and logistics company Seur plans to invest some 20 mln euro ($22 mln) in Portugal in 2003, the company said on March 7, 2003.

The company generated 6.0 pct of its turnover in Portugal and forecast its operations in the country to account for 10 pct of its turnover in 2004, at the end of 2001. The company registered a 1.6 million transport operations in Portugal for 2001, up 7.6 pct year-on-year. It employs a staff of 7,700, of which 319 are in Portugal. The company operates 330 offices in Portugal and Spain, has a fleet of 3,700 vehicles and generates an average annual turnover of 450 mln euro ($495 mln). http://www.agenciafinanceira.pt
