Amazon planning to open new fulfilment centre and delivery station in Forney, Texas

Amazon has announced plans to open its first fulfilment centre in Forney, Texas which is anticipated to launch in 2021.

“We’re excited to be expanding our network of operations in Forney,” said Alicia Boler Davis, Amazon’s vice president of global customer fulfilment.

In the new one million square-foot fulfilment centre Amazon associates will work to pick, pack, and ship bulky or larger-sized customer items such as patio furniture, outdoor equipment, or rugs.

Amazon is also planning a new 200,000 square-foot delivery station in Forney, which is anticipated to launch later in 2020. Delivery stations provide the last mile of Amazon’s order fulfilment process.
