AJG wins the Lynx deal for SW Scotland

AJG Parcels, which specialises in the Scottish Highlands and islands, is now representing Lynx Express in the Argyll and Campbeltown area.
The company is subcontracted by “all but one or two” of the national parcel groups, said project manager James Barkley. He said operating with 10 or 12 clients, each with their own administrative systems, created a lot of paperwork for drivers but AJG was now large enough to offer a dedicated service to the biggest customers.

AJG makes up to 4,000 deliveries a day, with internet orders driving much of its recent growth. Around 75% of traffic goes through the Inverness hub, which has reached capacity. Barkley said a new facility would be built soon.
