Germany’s Fiege eyes acquisitions in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, France

German logistics company Fiege is eyeing acquisitions in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and France, Handelsblatt newspaper said, citing Heinz Fiege, managing director of the company.

‘We are already targeting several companies and want to invest a total of about 300 mln eur,’ Fiege said.

The company also hopes to win new customers following Deutsche Post AG’s planned takeover of Exel PLC.

Fiege said the integration of Exel with DHL and Danzas will cause considerable friction and loss of momentum at Deutsche Post, and his company could win new customers.
