Europa Announce New Finance Director
Logistics provider, Europa Worldwide Group, has announced Rob Jones will take on the role of Finance Director.
Despite the worldwide challenges of Covid and Brexit, Europa has remained dedicated to finding solutions for its customers, having successfully launched its unique Brexit customs product Europa Flow. In addition, the firm has opened its new £60m state-of-the-art Corby warehouse on time and expanded its RAPID career development programme to Graduates.
Back in January 2020, Rob took on the new role of Europa’s Non-Executive Director to provide support and guidance on the company’s strategy and support its ambitious growth plans, having worked closely with Andrew Baxter when he first acquired the business.
In his new position, Rob will focus on strengthening the current Finance team, whilst playing an integral role in reviewing finances across all Europa divisions – Road, Air & Sea, Warehouse, Showfreight, Contact Centre and Continental Cargo Carriers.
With years of business experience, Rob has multiple skills and has utilised these previously to start an intelligence led security solutions firm VSG. Founded by him and three colleagues the business grew into the fourth largest security company in the UK, with 6,500 employees. It is this expertise in business that Andrew is keen to utilise and lead his Finance team.
Andrew Baxter, Managing Director at Europa Worldwide Group, explains why he believes Rob is best placed to take on the role of Finance Director: “Rob knows the business, from our challenges to our solutions and strategies, which he has helped to create over the past year.

“I feel confident we have now resolved these short-term complexities and can focus on the future, which is why I have chosen to position Rob as our Finance Director – he has the skills, knowledge and passion required.”
