Vietnam Postal trialling parcel delivery lockers

Vietnam Post has reported been piloting the Post Smart automatic parcel delivery cabinet in 40 post offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to reports in local media, the trials started this month (July) and mark the first time that lockers have been used for postal delivery activities in Vietnam.

Post Smart allows customers to get their parcels using their smartphones.

Eighteen Post Smart cabinets have been installed in Hanoi and 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, mostly in central post offices but also in apartment buildings, trade centres and office buildings.

Vietnam Post reportedly plans to expand the service to other locations if the pilot is successful.
