Deutsche Post appoints new Management Board Member

Deutsche Post AG has appointed John Allan as new management board member of the company, Deutsche Post said on December 20, 2005.

Allan will head in the next three years the company’s enlarged logistics operations after the acquisition of British logistics and freight group Exel Plc.

Allan, who was CEO of Exel for more than 10 years, will be responsible for the integration of the acquired company with Deutsche Post’s logistics division and its future business development.

Allan will succeed Frank Appel as head of the logistics division, who in the future will be responsible for the newly created Global Corporate Services division as well as for the Global Customer Solutions division.
