Amazon.de to hire extra staff to support Christmas peak

Amazon has announced that it will hire over 10,000 seasonal workers for its logistics centres, sorting centres and distribution centres in Germany during the Christmas season.

“We are preparing for the Christmas season throughout the year and are looking forward to hiring more than 10,000 seasonal colleagues this year to help inspire our customers,” says Norbert Brandau, Interim Regional Director Amazon Operations Germany. “We look forward to welcoming seasonal workers who return to Amazon year after year and welcoming new faces to the team.”

In addition to the more than 19,000 permanent employees at Amazon’s German locations, the seasonal staff will support the picking, packaging and delivery of customer orders during the Christmas season. Within the last year, Amazon has already created 3,000 new permanent positions in the German logistics network.
