TNT not yet in negotiations with interested parties for Logistics division sale

TNT NV said it is not yet in negotiations with possible interested parties for the planned sale of its Logistics division.

‘So far we have given information memorandums to some interested parties after they signed the usual confidentiality forms, but we are not yet negotiating with any of them,’ said chief executive Pieter Bakker.

He added these parties are currently reviewing the information on the Logistics division, and he hopes that any negotiations will ‘begin soon’.

In December last year, Bakker announced the planned sale of the Logistics division and said he would like to see it sold off by the second half of 2006.
