Pickup to enhance the customer experience for commuters in Paris

Pickup to enhance the customer experience for commuters in Paris

Travellers can pick up their parcels during their daily journeys. A practical solution for those who want to optimise their travel time.

The Pickup service RATP, means:

20 smart lockers already installed in 15 stations and railway stations in the Paris region

50 lockers installed in 45  railway stations by the end of the first quarter of 2022

La Poste Groupe has teamed up with RATP to offer travellers using the Île-de-France Mobilités network a new automatic Pickup locker service to make it easier to manage their parcels. With this new and innovative solution, travellers can take advantage of their daily commute to independently collect their Colissimo and Chronopost parcels ordered from one of the 10,000 e-commerce sites that offer the Pickup out-of-home delivery service in a few seconds. To guarantee optimal security for orders in these busy locations, these lockers can only be opened by a unique code, which is only transmitted to the recipient of the parcel. Furthermore, they are available over a wide time frame for even greater convenience.

Olivier Titeux, Pickup Development Director “For over 20 years, Pickup has employed solutions to make life easier for its customers, by operating as close to their homes as possible. These 50 new RATP lockers will be available to Parisians on their daily journeys so that they can collect their parcels with great ease. They will complement our network of 16,000 shopkeeper pickup points and 500 lockers, further enhancing our long-standing close proximity to consumers. We are very proud of this partnership and deployment, which will greatly enhance the customer experience.”
