DHL heavy goods express delivery to debut in China

DHL International GmbH, the world’s leading express and logistics company, made an announcement by saying that it would release a new product to provide express delivery services for heavy goods of 50 to 150 kg.

In order to spread the new product, preferential prices can be available in services including packing, fetching, air transportation and clearing customs. The new product can be use to deliver products in the sectors of auto, machinery manufacturing, printing, garment, medicine and high technologies. It is part of DHL’s efforts to capture a larger share when the express demand is surging in China.

In China, goods heavier than 40 kg cannot be delivered through the nation’s postal system. The spokesman with FedEx, another global express giant disclosed that clients were required to order in advance if they want to deliver goods with a weight of more than 68 kg.
