Multi-million pound deal marks TNT UK new arrival

The latest addition to the TNT Express Services fold that prints, archives, scans and manages hundreds of millions of paper and electronic files has heralded its arrival into the express delivery giant's business with a multi-million pound five-year contract extension from Land Registry.

The new division – TNT Document Services – part of TNT Express Specialist Services (TESS), deals with transactional print, scanning, offshore data capture, data management and digital archiving.

TNT Document Services has enjoyed a long-standing commercial partnership with Land Registry that has already encompassed the electronic scanning of 18 million property title plans in England and Wales and 16 million supporting documents and 90 million items. The latest five-year agreement was sealed at a contract signing ceremony attended by the Land Registry's Chief Procurement Officer, Tim Leaver and Bob Black, Chief Operating Officer of TNT Express Services UK, at Land Registry Head Office in Lincoln Inn Fields, London.

Tim said: "TNT Document Services has demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of our requirements and an innovative approach. Their data conversion system allows us to take advantage of new technologies and offer sound business benefits."

Bob commented: "The expertise of TNT Document Services adds unparalleled value to our existing services and represents the platform from which we can consolidate our market-leading position. The highly successful relationship forged with Land Registry is a prime example of how we can now broaden our service offering as part of a holistic approach to providing end-to-end business solutions."

In addition to the contract win with Land Registry, TNT Document Services has;

Won contracts to print and dispatch millions of invoices and statements on behalf of major mailing, waste management, food, IT, utilities, telecoms and construction companies.

Managed millions of electronic documents which have been converted from paper files, maps and invoices

Secured a six-month contract with a leading consultancy to scan 1.5 million property-related records on behalf of a Government organisation
Formerly known as Cendris UK, TNT Document Services now forms an integral part of the TESS stable.

The division generates impressive annual revenue in excess of £20 million and employs a 280-strong workforce in London, Basildon, Glasgow and Coventry, with a further 300 employees located at its offshore data centre in Mauritius.

Its services augment TESS's existing portfolio of end-to-end solutions, which includes mailroom management, archiving and bespoke distributions systems for the financial sector.

TNT Document Services Customer Support Director Craig Scott said: "We are delighted to join TESS. The TNT branding will undoubtedly raise our UK profile while close working with our new sister divisions will deliver real business growth."

TNT ensure House of Fraser are being served
19-Apr-06
The Grace Brothers store in the BBC sitcom 'Are You Being Served' may have been famed for having a ground floor with perfumery, stationery and leatherware, but House of Fraser's head office in London can boast something unheard of in the days of comedy characters Mr Humphries, Mrs Slocombe and Captain Peacock.

As one of the country's leading department stores, House of Fraser, has taken the progressive step of outsourcing its internal mailroom activities and awarding a contract to mailroom experts, TNT Managed Services.

TNT Managed Services – a division of express delivery giant TNT – has signed an agreement to manage House of Fraser's internal mailroom at its headquarters based in Howick, Victoria.

The three-year deal includes mailroom management, loading bay and reprographics service. Thousands of items of internal mail will be sorted every week under the guidance of TNT's on-site operations manager and a three-strong team.

Bill Kyle, National Sales Manager, TNT Managed Services, said: "We're delighted to have won this prestigious contract with such a well respected and quality High Street name like House of Fraser.

"Our relationship with the key House of Fraser decision makers is very strong and has been developed over a number of years. Our proven track record and our experience in providing value added outsourcing solutions were crucial in HOF awarding this contract to us.

"Our 'smart sourcing' approach clearly pays dividends to our customers. And the bespoke, quality service we deliver means the possibilities for any potential client are endless."

TNT's Managed Services division has made it the star performer in the provision of outsourced office services.

Interest in TNT's generous portfolio of products, from cutting edge reprographics and mail imaging to third party supplier management and security, has rocketed since more products were introduced in the past few years.

Diversification and innovation has reaped rewards. Independent research conducted by respected business analysts TARP confirmed TNT's pre-eminent position when a poll of UK businesses ranked the company as Britain's number one mailroom operator.
