Algerie Poste and French La Poste enter partnership

Algerian postal services provider Algerie Poste and French national post office La Poste have signed a partnership agreement for the modernisation of Algerie Poste’s electronic money transfer, it was reported on May 9, 2006.

The move is part of Algerie Poste’s new engineering, marketing and commercial strategy and is aimed at improving the relations between the two companies.

The partnership with La Poste is expected to enable the Algerian company to widen its portfolio and improve its positions on the postal services market in Africa.

Algerie Poste had already teamed up with La Poste’s consulting services subsidiary Sofrepost within the framework of the technical assistance programme MEDA of the Algerian Ministry of Communication. Sofrepost provided management training course for Algerie Poste staff.

Algerie Poste (www.poste.dz) employs 25,000.
