UK Royal Mail recruits new finance chief
Ian Duncan, 45, chief financial officer and senior vice-president of the nuclear design and technology group Westinghouse, is to join Royal Mail as finance director. Reporting to chief executive Adam Crozier, Mr Duncan will be a member of Royal Mail’s main board and takes up his new position on September 1. He spent three years as an auditor with the chartered accountants Deloitte and Touche, before joining investment bankers Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and then British Nuclear Fuels, which first acquired and then sold Westinghouse.

New Finance Director for Royal Mail

Ian Duncan, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of the nuclear technology company, Westinghouse, has been appointed Group Finance Director of Royal Mail, it was announced today.
Reporting to Group Chief Executive Adam Crozier, Mr Duncan will be a member of Royal Mail’s Board with Group-wide responsibility for Royal Mail’s financial performance. He takes up his new position on 1 September.
Mr Crozier said: “I am delighted Ian is joining Royal Mail. He has a proven track record in strong financial management combined with leadership skills to enhance company performance.”
Mr Duncan said: “I’m looking forward very much to joining Royal Mail as it tackles the enormous challenges of modernising the company to ensure it competes successfully in a mail market now open to full competition.”
