Bank Pocztowy trials a paper-free e-Delivery service provided by Polish Post
Bank Pocztowy has conducted trials of the new e-Delivery service provided by Poczta Polska, which is intended to replace traditional paper correspondence sent to private individuals, offices and companies.
After implementing the new solution, instead of visiting the post office in person, physically collecting and sending registered letters and archiving paper correspondence, it will be possible to send letters electronically. This innovation is the result of the convenience for citizens in the form of an electronic address for e-Delivery, which will come into force from October 2024. Bank Pocztowy conducted tests using the API interface provided by Poczta Polska.
Services provided as part of e-Delivery are digital equivalents of a paper registered letter. Thanks to e-Delivery, citizens and companies can send and receive electronic documents confirmed by proof of posting and receipt from any place with Internet access. Over 250,000 people already use the service. Electronic deliveries have the equivalent legal force as traditional registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt.
“We will soon witness the end of the era of paper letters. We are observing how correspondence is changing at a dizzying pace from paper to electronic. Poczta Polska, as the leader of this market within the shared e-Delivery digital platform, provides a public service of registered electronic delivery, which enables electronic communication between companies and individuals with public entities. Moreover, Poczta Polska, as the first in Poland, has also developed a qualified electronic registered delivery service, which guarantees legally effective delivery of correspondence electronically between non-public entities, i.e. between individuals or companies”, says Dariusz Śpiewak, Vice-President of the Management Board of Poczta Polska.
The development of the service is expected to lead in the near future to a gradual reduction in the distribution of paper registered letters between the administration, citizens and companies.
E-delivery means access to all matters in one place. Using unique Electronic Delivery Addresses (ADE), assigned by the Minister responsible for computerization, we can be sure that we are corresponding with the right person or institution. In addition, e-Delivery will enable you to verify the status of your correspondence through evidence issued in real time, at every stage of the process (such as the date of posting and delivery confirmed with a qualified time stamp).
“The introduction of e-Delivery may be a challenge for many companies, but it will certainly facilitate the distribution of correspondence to offices and companies. In fact, it will now be possible to do it fully online. Bank Pocztowy is a modern institution that focuses on digital development. This is evidenced by our previous activities, such as the implementation of a biometric card or a CRM system in the cloud. Thanks to cooperation with Poczta Polska, we created an environment in which the Bank carried out tests, confirming its readiness to handle the e-Delivery process. I am convinced that the implementation of this solution will significantly facilitate communication between citizens and legal entities with offices and companies.” says Michał Leski, Vice-President of the Management Board of Bank Pocztowy.
