shöpping: with our expansion into Germany, we kill two birds with one stone.

shöpping, the online marketplace of Austrian Post, is taking the next step in growth and expanding into Germany. In the fourth quarter of this year, shöpping will expand its delivery area and enable its retailers to sell goods and products to German customers as well. At the same time, shöpping is strengthening its acquisition of merchants from the European Union (EU) who want to offer their goods in Austria and Germany.

“With our expansion into Germany, we kill two birds with one stone. Our domestic retailers can increase their sales area tenfold and thus significantly increase their sales. Since we have also been experiencing an increasing demand for Austrian products from German customers for some time, we can use this step to make our online marketplace accessible to a wider audience,” explains Robert Hadzetovic, Managing Director of shöpping.

By expanding into Germany, shöpping will offer German shoppers access to a variety of products from electronics, fashion, regional food and delicacies, more than 6,000 wines, homewares, beauty and much more. With a user-friendly interface, fast delivery times, and excellent customer service, shöpping positions itself as a trusted partner for online purchases from Austria.

ACQUISITION OF NEW RETAILERS IS IN FULL SWING
Since last year, shöpping has also enabled selected international suppliers from the EU to offer their products on the online marketplace. This initiative has diversified the assortment and offers shoppers even more choices.

In addition to expansion, shöpping is also constantly working on expanding data interfaces to offer its merchants even faster and easier options for data connection. For example, since May 2024, shöpping has been offering two new interfaces to the cloud-based multi-channel tools Tradebyte and ChannelPilot.
