Pakistan Post to launch five new services
Pakistan Post is planning to introduce five new services not only to facilitate the consumers but also to compete with the growing private sector.
The new services include instant money transfer, collection of utility bills from home, top of the line courier, tele-centers up to Tehsil headquarters and disbursement of micro-financing. In a presentation on the ‘New Vision of Pakistan Post’ Director General Arshad Khan shared his plans to launch the new services with the Minister for communications Shamim Siddiqui here on Friday at Post Office headquarters.
The vision is targeted to turn Pakistan Post into a self-sustainable, customer-friendly and dynamic organisation by making full use of its nation-wide infrastructure as hub of commercial activity for people living anywhere in the country, the DG said.
The minister advised for creating a customer-friendly environment in the organisation that should be fully equipped to compete with the private sector.
Minister of State for Communications Engineer Shahid Jamil Qureshi, Secretary Tariq Mehmood and senior officials of the ministry and Pakistan Post were also present on the occasion.
