TNT makes sweet music
Business-to-business express deliverer TNT has struck the right note with a significant deal to deliver the hottest names in home entertainment to the customers in double-quick time.
TNT Express Services UK & Ireland sealed the three-year deal with the Pinnacle-Arvato Group to deliver more than 100 million home entertainment products a year to more than 2,000 UK retail outlets.
Mega delivery: Danny Geach, TNT Technology Express Business Development Manager, who helped win the Pinnacle-Arvato deal, says 100 million products will be distributed each year
Whether it’s servicing the market with the latest music trend, blockbuster movie, or eagerly awaited computer game, the new deal ensures that the top names in the entertainment industry will always be available on the shelves.
The express delivery giant has won the contract from the Pinnacle Arvato Group to make overnight deliveries to independent retailers and major High Street chains, stocking music , film entertainment and computer games.
The Pinnacle Arvato Group contract firmly establishes the presence of TNT in the entertainment industry marketplace, following a successful introduction with the deal clinched earlier this year to distribute CDs and DVDs for Universal Music.
TNT will be collecting in excess of one million despatches per annum from the Arvato warehouse in the West Midlands and Pinnacle facilities in Kent for delivery across the UK.
Danny Geach, TNT Technology Express Business Development Manager, said: “We share a real enthusiasm and passion with the Pinnacle Arvato Group for making sure millions of music lovers, film buffs and gamers get the latest releases or the catalogue product of their choice as quickly as possible.
“This new contract means next day delivery throughout the UK – it was one of the factors that helped us win this deal. In Scotland, for instance, some carrier cannot guarantee next day delivery. The size of our network at TNT means that we can.”
Stuart Stobie, Divisional Managing Director for TNT Express Services UK & Ireland, said: “The nature of this sector of the entertainment industry means the public want to have the most up-to-date and wide range of music CDs and DVDs available to them at all times.
“This contract means we’ll be playing a major role in ensuring the fastest and most reliable transit of CDs and DVDs to the retailer across the country.
“Whether it’s the latest Will Young album or the latest Hollywood blockbuster, we’ll make sure they get to the retailers on time every time.”
