Poczta Polska: ending the collective wage disputes will allow us to calmly focus on the common goal – transformation

On December 12, representatives of the management board of Poczta Polska, the Postal Workers’ Union and the Union of Postal Workers signed an agreement ending the collective disputes initiated over wages in 2019 and 2023.

The most important findings include:

• PLN 460 raise for all employees covered by the Collective Labour Agreement starting from January 2025.

• setting the minimum basic salary level applicable from March 2025 at PLN 4,666

• commitment of trade unions to refrain from making wage-related demands until the end of 2025.

The initiative to conclude an agreement, with which the management of Poczta Polska reached out to all trade unions remaining in collective wage disputes, was possible thanks to, among other things, the Company achieving a smaller financial loss than expected for 2024. Better than forecasted financial results are the effect of the consistently implemented Transformation Plan and the Voluntary Redundancy Program launched in November.

” I want to thank the unions, in particular the Trade Union of Postal Workers affiliated with OPZZ, which joined these difficult negotiations that required good will and composure from each party. I believe that ending the collective wage disputes will allow us to calmly focus on the common goal, which is the transformation of the Post Office – said the president of the management board, Sebastian Mikosz. – It will also give us the opportunity to calmly build a better image of Poczta Polska as a reliable partner and employer,” he added.

The amount negotiated during the meeting is in addition to the implemented

wage increases in the years 2022-2024 and thus confirms that the demands constituting the basis for the unions to initiate disputes have been met.

The adopted arrangements regarding the minimum wage, which will come into force from March 2025, end the current practice of obtaining the statutory minimum wage by including bonuses.

The meeting was attended by 18 trade unions. The signatories of the agreement – Representatives of the Postal Workers’ Union and the Postal Union Union appealed to the remaining unions to accept the negotiated conditions and end all active wage disputes.
