Ukrposhta joins forces with Temu to ensure Ukrainians have access to the items they need

Temu, the global direct-from-factory online marketplace, has announced a strategic partnership with Ukrposhta, Ukraine’s national postal operator, to provide a faster and more reliable shopping experience for consumers in Ukraine.

Following a successful joint service trial in September, Temu and Ukrposhta have now implemented a dedicated delivery solution tailored to Ukrainian shoppers. During the trial period, Ukrposhta handled over 1.5 million parcels from Temu, underscoring the scale and demand for efficient fulfillment in the region.

This partnership combines Temu’s innovative business model with Ukrposhta’s extensive delivery network, which includes 30,000 service points across Ukraine. As a result, over 80% of parcels are now delivered within three days of their arrival in the country, significantly enhancing speed and reliability for customers.

“We’re impressed by Temu’s rapid growth on the global stage, as well as their swift entry into the Ukrainian market. Partnering strategically with Temu allows us to do what we do best — ensure Ukrainians have access to the items they need, when they need them, with the speed of delivery they expect,” said Igor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta.

The company’s CEO also added that Ukrposhta plans to open a second international deliveries processing center. This will ensure that 95% of international shipments reach customers within two days after arriving in Ukraine.

Since its launch in Ukraine in March 2024, Temu has offered a wide range of products across over 200 categories, from household items to electronics. By connecting customers directly with manufacturers, Temu’s model reduces costs and inefficiencies typically seen in traditional retail supply chains.

“Temu’s mission is to make quality products affordable to more consumers globally. By partnering with Ukrposhta, we are elevating our commitment to providing a superior customer experience through reliable and efficient delivery services,” a Temu spokesperson said.

Temu has expanded to over 80 markets globally since its debut in September 2022, offering a wide selection of merchandise at competitive prices. Temu is a top Apple recommended app of 2024, and has one of the most visited e-commerce websites in the world.
