Omniva: This record-breaking month is a clear proof of our ambition and capabilities

Omniva Group, the logistics and parcel delivery service provider in the Baltics, announces a remarkable achievement in December 2024, with a record-breaking 3.5 million parcels delivered across the Baltic region. This represents a significant 15% increase compared to December 2023, underlining the company’s strong growth and operational excellence.

Omniva delivered over 1 million parcels in both Estonia and Latvia, while Lithuania saw an impressive volume of nearly 1.5 million parcels. Notably, Latvia experienced the highest growth, with a 32% increase in parcel deliveries compared to the previous year. Estonia and Lithuania also showed robust growth, each recording a 9% increase. Besides that, current estimates indicate that during 2024, Omniva has delivered approximately 35 million parcels in the Baltics, which is also a new record for the company.

Mart Mägi, CEO of Omniva Group, expressed pride in the company’s achievement, stating: “This record-breaking month is a clear proof of our ambition and capabilities. It reflects the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our teams across the Baltics. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our employees for their hard work and commitment, which made this achievement possible. A big thank you also goes to our private and business customers, who are increasingly choosing us as their preferred delivery partner. And special gratitude to each of our clients who picked up their parcels promptly, as well as our apologies if delivery of your parcel took a bit longer time than usually.”

Mägi emphasized, that the delivery of 1 million parcels and a sharp increase in Estonia is a symbolic reflection of the growing dominance of the e-commerce market, which is increasingly becoming the leading form of retail now and in the future.

The holiday season and a growing e-commerce market have contributed significantly to the increased parcel volume. Meanwhile Omniva’s robust infrastructure and strategic focus on innovation and efficiency have ensured timely and reliable delivery services even during peak periods.

Mägi continued: “Omniva remains dedicated to enhancing its services (e.g. same day delivery service recently launched in Tallinn) and to continue expanding its infrastructure in home markets maintaining to maintain our position as a leading and innovative logistics provider in the Baltic region and beyond. Companies’ strategic expansion in the Baltics through its newly established Kaunas sorting center enables efficient cross-border operations for global and local businesses alike.”

Omniva in 2024 invested €42 million in the Kaunas Sorting Center, which spans a total land area of 90,000 m². The building covers 22,000 m², with the sorting centre itself occupying 20,000 m² and capable of processing 12,000 parcels per hour. Read more about the logistics centre here.
