Systematic extends PalletFORCE’s European reach

PalletFORCE has significantly enhanced its European capability with the arrival of Benelux transport company Systematic Logistics.

Systematic’s fleet of 160 vehicles operates from four strategically positioned depots in Belgium and The Netherlands. It becomes Shareholder Member Depot for the Benelux region, and will handle Germany on a caretaker basis.

The company has extensive experience of palletised distribution from its days working previously as a member of Palletways and when PalletFORCE approached them, Systematic was quick to recognise a kindred spirit.

“PalletFORCE works the way a network should – by putting service first,” explains Stephan Hammer, Managing Director of Systematic Logisitics. “That is always how we have approached distribution, so we felt at home straight away.”

In addition, Stephan Hammer points out that, “Many of the Network’s Member Depots are hauliers with whom we already have an excellent relationship, so we are confident of a healthy and prosperous partnership.”

Neil Carpenter, Commercial and Finance Director, believes that the presence of Systematic within the Network will enhance the operations of both parties. “Systematic can provide PalletFORCE’s existing Member Depots with high-quality delivery to Europe, whilst in return the company will benefit from an effective UK distribution service.

“Europe is an important market, and we are delighted to welcome a player of Systematic’s calibre to the Network,” he adds.

Notes to Editors

Palletised distribution has been a major growth area in road haulage over the last decade, offering a cost-effective solution to the quick delivery of small palletised consignments.

PalletFORCE is one of the leading palletised distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe. With over 88 strategically-located depots around the country and a 210,000 sq. ft. central hub in Lichfield Staffordshire, the PalletFORCE network offers significant efficiency savings. Each member depot delivers goods originating from its operational area to the central hub. They then collect goods for delivery to their home area for the return load – a streamlined process which offers a more competitive, cost effective service for both members and customers, whilst substantially reducing environmental impact.
