UPS: logistics can be a competitive advantage for businesses of all sizes

The custom-made IVECO eDaily P45E vehicles have a fully recyclable exterior, an operational range of up to 230 km, a gearless electric drive, and a polypropylene shell 30% lighter than traditional aluminum. The EVs offer a total payload up to 1,100 kg and a cargo volume up to 14 cubic metres. They have been designed to UPS’s unique specifications, seamlessly integrating into the company’s network for more sustainable delivery.
As cities across the Netherlands prepare to introduce zero-emission zones starting January 2025, UPS is well-positioned to continue delivering for its customers while meeting these regulatory requirements and reducing emissions in urban areas.
Electrification plays a big role in UPS’s decarbonization efforts, and it remains focused on continuing to deploy electric vehicles throughout its global operations. This is key to the company achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
This rollout is part of a series of investments in the market, including in UPS’s growing network of nearly 1,450 Access Point locations across Belgium and over 1,500 across the Netherlands, providing convenience and choice for customers. Additionally, the company recently launched a new surcharge free Saturday delivery service, providing extra flexibility and convenience, especially during peak shipping periods.
“As consumer expectations around sustainability continue to grow, we’re committed to giving our shipping customers more options and making them more sustainable than ever before. In today’s market, logistics can be a competitive advantage for businesses of all sizes, and we’re committed to providing the best experience focused on convenience, control and choice.” said Michiel van Veen, Managing Director, UPS France and Benelux.
