ePost Global: Returns have become a real operational risk

ePost Global, the resilience layer between brands and international shipping chaos, and ShipWise, a multi-carrier shipping platform leader, have announced expanded cross-border returns capabilities, giving merchants a more predictable way to manage reverse logistics in an increasingly volatile shipping environment.

As return rates continue to rise year over year, regulatory complexity, escalating data requirements, and variable carrier reliability amplify the difficulty of managing reverse logistics globally. For many merchants, legacy returns processes were not designed to withstand this level of disruption. The expanded support enables merchants to manage returns alongside domestic and international outbound shipping through ShipWise, helping reduce operational friction while maintaining compliance and delivery performance.

For more than a decade, ePost Global and ShipWise have worked together to support merchants, 3PLs, and fulfillment operations shipping at scale. The long-standing partnership helps businesses absorb shipping volatility – including carrier disruptions, regulatory changes, and routing constraints – without forcing merchants to reconfigure their technology stacks or operational workflows.

“Returns have become a real operational risk,” said Helaine Rich, VP of Strategic Sales and Administration, ePost Global. “When regulations change or carriers fail, merchants feel the impact immediately. Our role is to absorb that volatility so returns and delivery remain predictable. Working closely with ShipWise allows us to adapt quickly as requirements evolve, without putting that burden on merchants.”

The expanded support includes enhanced access to Canada returns, one of the most complex cross-border return corridors due to regulatory requirements and carrier variability. Canada serves as a clear example of how coordinated routing, accurate data, and carrier flexibility are required to keep reverse logistics moving smoothly.

“Our focus is giving merchants reliable access to the services they need, without added friction,” said Wade Ransom, Business Development Executive at ShipWise. “By supporting ePost Global’s cross-border returns services on our platform, we help merchants manage outbound shipping and returns in one place – while staying prepared for the realities of today’s shipping environment.”

Beyond returns, the partnership supports a broad range of domestic and international shipping services, enabling merchants to scale across markets while maintaining control over cost, performance, and customer experience.

Together, ePost Global and ShipWise help merchants protect operational continuity in an environment where shipping disruption has become the norm.
