Australia Post “making it easier for locals to access the services they need”

Australia Post is expanding its Community Postal Agents (CPA), opening in eight new locations across New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia to improve access to essential postal services for communities.

CPAs provide essential services including postage stamp sales, prepaid satchels and packaging, and the sending and receiving of mail and parcels. The new CPAs will offer greater convenience with more local access points to postal services to reduce travel times for customers, particularly in high-growth and regional areas with increased demand for these services.

The latest of Australia Post’s new CPAs have opened today in Tully Heads and Mulgildie in Queensland. Additional locations in Greta, New South Wales; Torquay North in Victoria; Geographe, Wandina and Waterloo in Western Australia; and Cooee in Tasmania will open soon.

Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail, Brand & Marketing, Josh Bannister said the CPA expansion demonstrates Australia Post’s continued investment in local communities.

“We’re focused on making it easier for locals to access the services they need – when and how it suits them. These new CPAs will help us deliver more efficiently and ensure parcels get to customers as fast as possible,” Mr Bannister said.

CPAs play a vital role in Australia Post’s Post Office network, with more than 700 CPAs across the country, and around 90% operating as part of another local business. These businesses help strengthen community connections while ensuring reliable access to everyday postal services.
