Haldane UK is using Glenhire Express for the palletised distribution of timber products

Haldane UK, one of Britain’s most advanced architectural joinery companies, is using Glenrothes-based PalletFORCE Member Glenhire Express for the palletised distribution of timber to its biggest customer.

The company’s partnership with Glenhire has been in place for over four years and Haldane is very happy with the service it receives.

“Our products are very fragile and we have had bad experiences in the past with courier companies,” explains Forrester Adam, Managing Director of Haldane UK. “Glenhire has proved itself over the past four years as a reliable and effective partner.

He cites Glenhire’s personal touch as one of its key benefits. “It’s rare to find a haulier who can offer such personalised service, but Glenhire has been more than accommodating to customise its operation to meet our needs.”

Based at a custom built 20000 square foot premises in the heart of the Kingdom of Fife, on the east coast of Scotland, Haldane services the breadth and length of the UK with a number of installation teams situated throughout the country.

Initially, Haldane was uncomfortable using PalletFORCE to deliver its products nationally, unsure if it could place the same trust in other Depots as it knew it could in Glenhire. The Network worked hard to convince Haldane that it could meet the required quality standard, through initiatives such as the no stacking policy to ensure that goods are not damaged en route.

PalletFORCE is now used to distribute pallets to one of Haldane’s biggest customers – Premdor, one of the world’s largest door manufacturers – and Haldane is happy with the way things run.

“Deliveries are made on time and without problems – and if anything should go amiss, we’re always confident that Glenhire and the Network will sort it out quickly and efficiently,” confirms Forrester Adam.
