The 15th annual award was given during ceremonies held on March 31 in Orlando, Florida (USA).

“This award is important for us due to a number of reasons. One of them is the fact that the quality of services of a Polish company stands out among thousands of worldwide suppliers who work for GM. It is evidence for CJ International’s development at international level and for the fact that Polish or European companies can not only compete against, but even be better than huge international corporations” said Ewald Raben, Raben Group’s CEO.

The Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. A global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics each year reviews supplier performance in the areas of quality, service, technology to determine the winners.

– “We are proud to honor CJ International as one of the ‘Best of the Best’ GM suppliers in 2006,” said Bo Andersson, GM group vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “CJ International achieved the award based on outstanding performance in 2006. We appreciate their energy, hard work and dedication to the success of GM.”

Rendering services on such a high level is possible due to, among others, modern IT solutions which are extremely important in the branch of logistics.
CJ International’s innovative approach to business allows the company for meeting the needs of most demanding Customers. The company disposes of integrated programs for warehousing and transport management. CJ International has implemented satellite – – based GPS system in all means of transport. Furthermore, it has implemented TMS (Chainware) system for optimization of transport processes, which in turn improve the Customer service. CJ International’s strategy envisages high sensitivity to environmental protection what was proved in 2005 when the company was certified compliant with ISO 14001 standards. It reduces paper consumption and fuel combustion and recycles used-up materials of various kind (toners, used-up tires or computer equipment). In environmental issues the key aspect is high standard of fleet maintenance. CJ International has over 300 means of transport at its disposal, 60% of which in compliance with Euro 4 or Euro 5 standards. The average fleet age is no more than 2 years.

CJ International foresees further development of the company as its ultimate goal is to achieve the highest level of Customers’ satisfaction and the Supplier of the Year award is the evidence that the company’s activities bring positive results.
