Hub boosting DHL Middle East infrastructure.

DHL Express announced that its USD 3.7 million Hub in Jordan is now fully operational. The new facility combines a state-of-the-art airside operation with the hub and transit point. The Hub services all of DHL’s road activity from the GCC through to the Levant, North Africa, and Europe.

The DHL Hub is spread across 4,000 sq metres, with dedicated DHL staff operating the facility. The Hub already handles 740,000 kilos every month, and has the capacity to double this within 18 months. Operating 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, every day of the year, the Hub is improving speed of delivery of inbound shipments into the country, plus provides added security and safety of all goods transiting through Jordan to other destinations.

The road operation linking with the Jordan Hub has been operational since June 2008, and offers an important connection between the GCC, Levant and Europe via Turkey. Due to the geographical location of Jordan, the new Hub will improve the overall regional infrastructure and increase the transit speed of goods travelling via road.
