Night Star Express starts operating in Benelux

German carrier Night Star Express has started operating its franchise in Benelux with effect from 1 January 2009 to expand its presence in Europe.

In July 2008, Night Star Express signed a preliminary contract with WanSis transport systems B.V, the Dutch specialist for overnight express services, for the Benelux franchise area.

Founded by André van Wanrooij and Thomas Sistemich at the beginning of 2008 in Geldrop, Netherlands, WanSis transport system will take charge of Night Star Express activities as the new franchisee with identical corporate image and consistent service range.

“WanSis guarantees the same quality standards and ensures the full area coverage,” Night Star Express managing director Matthias Hohmann said.

“Moreover, with this link-up to Benelux countries throughout Germany, we create a unique selling proposition in terms of the overnight express until 8:00 a.m. None of our competitors can offer customers such an area-wide night express service. Nationwide as well as on the international level, customers can rely on the high quality service, excellent terms as well as established delivery organisation,” Hohmann added.
