A dedicated website, www.arabstampexh.ae, which provides comprehensive information on the 2nd Arab Stamp Exhibition, has been launched by Emirates Post.

The exhibition, organised by Emirates Post and Emirates Philatelic Association, will take place at the Wafi Centre, Dubai, from 5-9 March under the patronage of HH Majid Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, chairperson of the Dubai Art and Culture Authority.

The website provides general information on the exhibition, including location, floor plan and rules and regulations for participation. It gives information on the exhibitors under four categories: postal organisations, philately associations, stamp dealers and printers. It also has a page featuring the 2008 stamps issued by Emirates Post.

In addition, the website provides vital exhibitor information, such as hotel accommodation, special packages, visa formalities and a detailed program of the five-day exhibition. Sponsors logos are prominently featured on the homepage and viewers can click on the link to get more sponsor information. The website also features information on the organisers and the organising committee.

“With so many exhibitors expected from Arab countries and across the globe, it is vital to have a dedicated website for a major event like the Arab Stamp Exhibition,” said Ibrahim Bin Karam, CEO of Emirates Post. “We are confident the exhibitors will find the website useful and user-friendly. We have ensured that all relevant information is provided on the website.”

Unique stamps from Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Yemen, Jordan, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Djibouti and the UAE, will be showcased at the exhibition.

Besides the national postal corporations, the exhibition will see participation by nine philatelic associations from Arab countries. In addition, ten international stamp dealers will offer different kinds of stamps for sale, catering to stamp collectors as well as people who want to develop philately as a hobby. Two leading specialist printers of stamps – Carters of France and Eastern Printers of Bahrain – are also participating in the exhibition.
