TNT wins £5m Bristan Group contract

TNT is joining forces with Bristan Group in a deal that is worth more than £5m to the courier company.

TNT is joining forces with Bristan Group in a deal that is worth more than £5m ($7.28m) to the courier company.

The contract involves the movement of millions of bathroom and sanitary-ware items to major stockists across the UK.

Through the partnership, Bristan has been able to streamline its delivery process and consolidate its distribution operation to deliver all products to customers on one load and at the same time.

Discussions between TNT and Bristan started more than a year ago, with both companies keen to get a full understanding of cultures, requirements and operational capabilities.

TNT’s national sales manager Eddie Calland said: “We’re delighted to be partnering Bristan with one of the UK’s biggest contracts for this sector. Our aim was simple – to develop a successful relationship so Bristan could differentiate itself from the competition with premium service.”

The premium service – a consolidated, next day, before noon delivery service – was one of the keys to TNT winning the account that will see it move more than 35,000 consignments per month for the Bristan Group for the duration of the three-year contract.

Bristan Group’s logistics manager Alan Giles added: “We’re delighted that TNT has been able to provide a solution that we believe is unrivalled in our sector. This has truly been a partnership arrangement between both companies and demonstrates just what can be done by working closely together on all aspects of this vitally important aspect of the business.”
