UPS appointment for Sternad

UPS has appointed its corporate public relations vice president Ken Sternad as new president of The UPS Foundation, the package shipper’s charitable arm.

UPS has appointed its corporate public relations vice president Ken Sternad as new president of The UPS Foundation, the package shipper’s charitable arm.

He replaces Lisa Hamilton, who will now lead the UPS Corporate Public Relations Group.

Sternad came to UPS as a communications supervisor in 1977 and has served in his current position since 1997. In addition to his public relations background at UPS, Sternad also held package operations positions in Maryland.

Hamilton joined UPS in the corporate tax department in 1996. In 2003, she was promoted to program manager of The UPS Foundation and later served as a public affairs manager in Washington DC, before being named to her current post.
