Slovenian Post has launched a new service called “your email”, which allows subscribers to choose areas which interest them most in terms of services and offers.

According to Hellmail, the intiative aims to streamline direct marketing so providers and customers are more evenly matched.

The new service can deliver material to subscribers in the format they choose, including email, SMS and MMS.

It hopes that the concise data will ensure a more focused distribution for marketeers, and more useful and relevant service for customers.

Vinko Filipic, a member of the management of the Slovenian postal service said: “We have set an optimistic goal – to obtain over 100,000 users this year. We expect the service to flourish in the second half of this year, when all the data collected from subscribers is ready.”

From 24-27 March, all households in Slovenia (unless opted out), will receive a special questionnaire to be completed, signed and returned.
