EU extends review of Posten, Post Danmark merger

The European Commission extended its review of the planned merger of Sweden’s Posten and Danish counterpart Post Danmark on 27 March.

The European Commission extended its review of the planned merger of Sweden’s Posten and Danish counterpart Post Danmark on 27 March.

The European Union executive, who monitors competition in the 27-nation group, said the deadline has been moved to 21 April from 2 April.

Sweden and Denmark agreed in April last year to merge their post offices to create a company with projected annual revenues of about $7.5bn. The new company would eventually be listed.
